Pursuing a dream and a spouse
Many people dream dreams. Some dream big, some dream small and others do not dream at all. Some are able to pursue their dreams and realize them. Some started pursuing their dreams but could not realize them. In deed there are many individual or collective or different reasons why they were not able to fulfill their dreams. This main purpose of this blog is not to examine the reasons why people do not fulfill their dreams and how one can pursue a dream and a spouse but the relationship between pursuing a dream and a spouse.
Having a dream and pursuing it and having a spouse seem to me to mean the same because they require the same efforts and resources. They both require passion, love, money, time, energy and so on.
For a man who has a dream that he is pursing to build a successful marriage, he must be committed to spending his resources on both his dream and spouse. As a matter of fact, he must be committed to spending a lot of time with his spouse outside meals and sleeping. This same time is being demanded by his dream.
This is one of the areas of conflict in the home of married men that are pursuing a dream. This conflict is easier resolved, if the man incorporates his spouse into his dream so that they both can act as one team. Remember that relationship at home and productivity at work can deteriorate if not nourished with love, passion and understanding. NEVER ASSUME THAT SHE WILL UNDERSTAND.
Therefore, if you are a man or woman that is married and you are pursuing a dream, you must be ready to bring your spouse into the dream with love and understanding.
